it or not the communists banned Christmas! It was
restored back in 1991. Because of this New Year became
the time of giving presents to family. However new
Russians are returning to the more traditional Christmas
of Grandfather Frost and giving presents on Christmas

are celebrated by their men folk. It's a bit like
